The victim (E228) was a named female in her 60s. The victim is a shaman and was arrested and detained for shamanistic practices at Hyesan City MPS pre-trial detention centre. The victim was physically assaulted at Hyesan City MPS pre-trial detention centre with a wooden club by an MPS official. The victim was charged and sentenced to imprisonment at Chundong MPS labour training camp. The victim was arrested on known further occasions and was imprisoned at a labour training camp.
